Dr. Mati has maintained extensive involvement with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has held progressive leadership roles within the AAID Central District and at the national level.
Dr. Mati has been actively involved in dental education throughout his career. He previously served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and has lectured for dentists through study clubs, continuing education programs, webinars, and professional meetings.
He has authored two Clinical Bite articles for AAID News, sharing clinical perspectives and developments in contemporary implant dentistry. Dr. Mati is also the Founder of the Advanced Implant Study Club in Michigan, an educational organization dedicated to providing continuing education and advanced implant dentistry training for dentists. The study club brings clinicians together to discuss contemporary implant techniques, surgical and restorative concepts, emerging technology, treatment planning, and evidence-based approaches to patient care.
Dr. Mati is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Comprehensive Oral Implantology at Jacksonville University, with anticipated graduation in 2027. His graduate research interests include implant biomaterials, ceramic and zirconia implants, peri-implant disease, implant risk assessment, systemic biomarkers, salivary diagnostics, and evidence-based strategies designed to improve implant treatment outcomes.
